I have a bit of a thing for Hello Kitty - I think she reminds me of Amy and I just think she's cute. Every so often I mail something Hello Kitty to Amy's daughter, Mer. I don't think I ever had anything Hello Kitty as a child other than (maybe) some stickers. Well, I couldn't resist this piggy bank and guess what??... I kept it for myself. How silly is that??!! I love this crazy thing and it's great for all my spare change. I keep it on top of my 'jam cupboard' (a salvaged item from my grandparents' house) in my studio. It sits with a Pottery Barn alphabet abacus (from my dear friend Cindy - it's actually for Hannah and Wyatt but I keep it in the studio - love it!) and Hannah's princess hat from her first Halloween. Love this little grouping. Nice to have a little spot for some girly things.
And today... Paul is busy with work so after lunch we are going to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We will have dinner there but in the mean time Hannah and Wyatt will visit and I will run some errands. I'm sure they will do a lot of reading, snacking, tv watching and laughing and, in preparation for Monday (Hannah and Wyatt are turning 5!!!), I will be doing the following...
- groceries (regular stuff and cake ingredients)
- picking up birthday decorations for Monday - balloons, streamers etc.
- choosing fun things for goody-bags for their school friends
- getting a few little extra gifts -Thomas engines, Leapster cartridges and some more
animals (whales etc.)for tub-time
So I better get moving - lots to do and a cake to bake! Have a great weekend!
